Yeah, sure, great! Now people will just walk around staring at the screen instead of watching where they're giong. Car accidents will increase, that's for sure...

Okay, imagine holding up a handheld computer to a person's body and being able to tell exactly what's wrong with them and how to fix it... now THAT would be worth it... I can just check the weather channel if i really care that much about my weather.

From the page: "This is what I wish the internet search will be able to do with a mobile device in the NEAR future." Well I don't. Why carry around a card that will probably bend, get smudged up, lost, etc., when we could have the same functions and more via wearable computers running augmented reality applications instead? These will let you tag real-world objects with information and media, which can be kept private or shared across a network. Moreover, you can personalize your experience of the world as far as you like, even automate it with biofeedback input. Add color and pictures and video to your home, office, and city. Put driving directions right on the road. With facial recognition, create pop-ups to help you recall important facts about new acquaintances. Find your lost keys or where you parked your car. Create a "DOOM" mod for the real world. "Simpsonize" everyone you see in real time. The possibilities are limited only by imagination.See also: EyeTap, Steve Mann.
