ellaas rated 10 months ago- BBC's Reith Lecture series is probably the most high-end educational radio program you can hear on the internet, for free!

Andreas2 rated 17 months ago- Excellent series of downloadable lectures, great material for running distraction, on science, economics, philosophy, development (forget the sustainable part, the two seem to contradict each other), etc. More generally, Radio 4 has lots of good downloadable programs, such as "From our own Correspondent".

iniyan rated 28 months ago- One more in the "remember to make time for" department...

Now a selection of past lectures have been archived, so you can now listen to Bertrand Russell, Prof J K Galbraith or Dr Steve Jones amongst others. Also worth catching is last year's lecturer, Nobel Prize-winning poet and playwright Wole Soyinka talking about the climate of fear around the world.
