I first played this on an old PC about 15 years ago! I'm getting a lot further now than I ever did then! Excellent fun for HG2G fans!

I still have the original, text-only version of this game for Commodore 64 - complete with pin-on button with "Don't Panic!" printed on it in large, friendly letters, "pocket fluff", order for destruction of Arthur Dent's house, order for destruction of Earth, official microscopic space fleet, peril sensitive sunglasses, How Many Times Has This Happened to You? advertising brochure for the indispensable The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and no tea. Yes, I'm one totally hoopy frood.

Fun!

I was brought up on text adventure games, and this one in its revamped format does not seem dated at all. I seem to remember seeing an interview where Douglas Adams talked about putting allot of effort into anticipating players responses, so that it didnt solely respond to "go east" or "take towel" etc. Anyway you can die quite easily, which I find a bonus (unlike most of the new batch of graphic friendly adventure games).
