ScotsDistraction rated 19 months ago- From the page: "When I was a small child, I once told my friend's Sunday school teacher that I was an atheist. She called me a Godless Heathen. I liked it so much that Godless Heathen has been my answer to all questions regarding my religion ever since."

focsa rated 8 months ago- 1.1 billion people worldwide do not believe in any god, and at least 220 million of that number are atheists
sisk-o rated 19 months ago- From the page:
"Atheists lack moral values - this is not necessarily true, as the morals of an atheist depend on who they are, just as the morals of those who observe monotheisms and polytheisms can vary greatly. Many atheists believe that no religious grounding is required to lead an ethical life"
tbeechey rated 19 months ago- Some good explanations for some religious people who seem to be quite ignorant of some fairly basic facts and lack basic reasoning skills.
Oquendo rated 19 months ago- I agree with Fidi's review, this thing is appalling. It seems written for ten-year-olds.
Fidi rated 19 months ago- Thumbing down not because I don't agree with atheism, but because the article is really half-assed, poorly written. The 'common misconceptions' section makes me cringe; it feels like it's written from a Christian "atheist apologist" viewpoint. "Atheists lack moral values - this is not necessarily true" ... WTF?! Christmas cards? What the hell?? Who wrote this? I'm not even going to address the inaccuracies regarding Buddhism on the page.
Don't thumb up crap without reading it. If you really want good, precise information on atheism, go elsewhere.

- Moral Values develop from our childhood and onward; particularly the peer group and their approval or disapproval
ruscara rated 19 months ago- From the page: "I find the whole business of religion profoundly interesting. But it does mystify me that otherwise intelligent people take it seriously.

Razvigor rated 19 months ago- From the page: "When I told the people of Northern Ireland that I was an atheist, a woman in the audience stood up and said, 'Yes, but is it the God of the Catholics or the God of the Protestants in whom you don't believe?'
