- I just finished trying this, and it looks exactly the same, but it was still HOT. It wasn't nearly as hot as I thought it would be, but my fingertips certainly hurt now. It was easy to put out just by closing your palm, but after a few lights, it started to melt or something! I pressed it against my palm, and it squished like a marshmallow. After a couple tries, the thread completely went away, so I might be using a different kind than the one used here, possibly silk? Which might explain the melting... I don't know how this guy handles them that well for over five seconds, as I was only able to twirl them for a little bit until it began to hurt. If you're going to try this, DO IT OUTSIDE!
