Yogizilla rated 10 months ago- I'm with Soulmachines on this one. Anyone that knows me will attest to the fact that I do not buy into hype very often and HDTV is definitely one of those times. While I owe a set, let it be known that I only gave in because my old TV broke and this one was on sale. Had the TV been at "regular price", I would not have jumped on the bandwagon. Don't get me wrong: HDTV does offer better quality but the standards are constantly changing. If you're looking to test out the high-def waters, I really recommend waiting it out. It's mostly all hype right now and that just drives up the price but not necessarily the value of what you're actually getting in exchange. My HDTV is neat but, for all it's cracked up to be, I am not impressed. I've also noted that even the high-end HDTV sets do not display vast differences when compared side-by-side, regardless of the source. As soulmachines said, there are much better things that you can spend your time and money on! I'm not a big fan of television and, honestly, I don't really need to sweet the chest hairs on my video game characters so it just isn't practical to me. Early adopters may still want bragging rights but, to be quite honest, I laugh at anyone that thinks they really are at the cutting edge. There are much better and more affordable things on the horizon...

soulmachines rated 22 months ago- this is dumb. that's what you get for spending all your money trying to keep up with the joneses. go outside instead! it's free, and it looks way better than hdtv ever could

Jackanapes rated 22 months ago- Well this sucks for the bleeding edge...
