- Great for free audio books. Another alternative is http://www.audiobooks.net they have better quality audio books but the selection is not as good.

b-mon rated 22 months ago- This is a cool site. The quality is not anything to write home about, but if you're broke like me it's something you can live with. Try loading your mp3 player w/ some classics and take 'em to work. Great way to stick it to the man! Also, try learnoutloud.com. Not a whole lot free but what's there is good stuff.

pvrootsdub rated 27 months ago- good and free!! thanx to eadric!

kgrr rated 28 months ago- Free audio books (after registering, there are quite a few MP3s at 8kbps). 8 Kbps is low audio bandwidth and a bit tinny, but OK for speech. If it really bothers you, you can download higher quality files for a couple of dollars per book.

antonrojo rated 30 months ago- Free audio books (after registering, downloading a bunch of MP3s at 8kbps). A better option is Gutenberg's free audiobooks (most are computer-generated speech): http://www.gutenberg.org/audio/thelist_computer

c--b rated 30 months ago- Even if they are 8kb, you still get used to it when you're listening to them. You can hardly tell the difference.
