- Religion is hurting us as species. Why? Because the idea of a god fills up the gaps in our knowledge. Don't know how planets move? Easy; it's god's will. How exactly did life originate? God's will. People use "it's god's will" the same way they'd use "I dunno". If we're characterized by something as a species, it's our never-ending search for knowledge, fulled by curiosity. How are we supposed to understand what's going on outside and inside of us if there's people who simply don't want to know because they think it's "god's will"? It's even worse when we have Christian, Jewish, Muslim (just to name the Abrahamic religions) states; politicians who believe in the rapture; people detached from reality; people who don't care about this world or its well-being because they've been promised they'll live forever somewhere else. All idiots.

This is a video (click on link), sent to me by foggy1, which attempts to explain to Christians that they are delusional. Maybe they are. Maybe Muslims, Jews, Hindus et al are delusional too. That is their prerogative. My feeble little point is that everyone can believe what they want to believe without feeling the need to force their beliefs onto other people. So just call me stupid. This video puts forward the hypothesis that Christianity is hurting us. It is not Christianity that is the problem. It is some of the people who practice it - and the same goes for all other religions.

- This reminds me of a time where i was talking to this girl in class, during my sophomore year of high school. I don't remember what started it, but this girl insisted that Christianity was real; that when she dies she gets a free ride to heaven. I told her that she was wrong, and that there is no such thing as heaven. She said to me, "well then what do YOU think happens when you die." and i told her, "look, when you die, you're like the rest of the other fucking living things on this earth. You decompose. As for you, you'd probably decompose in your little coffin that your family buried you in, or you get your ass burned up in some cremation oven and put into an urn. That's it. Beyond that, you can not comprehend what death is like." Then she says to me, "well then what about Jesus, what do you think about him?" i told her, "i believe in Jesus. yes, i do. but you see, he was nothing more than a mere magician who had mastered the slight of hand and how to fool people. He had powerful speaking skills. That's it. He wasn't a magical fairy asshole that could heal fagots into straight people and comes back from the dead three days later to suck everyone's cock to get them to preach about him." She was mad. This girl literally almost ruined a friendship over the fact that i could spew out atheistic/scientific fact faster than her ass could spew out shit after being fucked anally for 10 hours. You know what? People need to get their heads out of their asses. I don't care what way you put it, i don't care how old you are, what your IQ is or who fathered your German Shepherds babies, you are a fucking delusional prick if you preach any sort of religion. Thank you good bye. P.S. Even if that chick thinks she's going to heaven, she could never get in with all the conditions you have to meet. It's funny, because this girl was fucking college kids in 8th grade, and i kid you not about that.
