- Xians and other non-muslims will claim this is typical of islam. I would say it's typical of religion in general. If you don't believe me, you haven't been paying attention. Belief in the supernatural makes for a great excuse to do bad things. Worst of all, such thinking is unassailable by logic and reason, which means there is no way to remove the meme or stifle its detrimental (pun intended) effects.
