Mark Wade's Encyclopedia Astronautica is a "mother lode" of information on spacecraft, rocketry, missiles, astronauts, cosmonauts ... you get the idea. Mr. Wade was particularly helpful to me and co-author David S. Michaels in supplying technical details that supported our novel Red Moon. This may not be the most aesthetically pleasing site, but the information available is unequaled.

Ugly and ad-ridden, but has plenty of information.

Encyclopedia Astronautica is my first stop for information on space vehicles, space programmes, individuals connected with space and articles on a whole host of topics. IMHO, it's the best site on the web for this sort of thing.

The Encyclopedia Astronautica is a very broad reference on every launch vehicle developed and many that were only conceptualized. Highly recommended.
