- Serious readers of comic books will know the man pictured below is Alan Moore, the most important comic book writer of the last 50 years and one of the world's foremost literary talents. His work is wide-ranging, thought provoking, and marvelous. Click the link for a brief run-down of his work. You have already seen much of it in badly adulterated forms on the silver screen (the worst of the lot was The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which took Moore's subversive, sexy and well-researched historical adventure and turned it into late Sean Connery shlock). If you don't know who he is, a trip to the comic book store is in order. And yes, I know they're comics, but no, you don't understand what kinds of comics this man writes.

- I heard he's helpin out with the Watchmen movie too. I can't wait for that shit. The Killing joke is soooooooo fuckin awesome though. They're usin parts from that to fill in the jokers history in the dark knight.
