fake, i guess the commentary is really on overusage of OOP when something functional can achieve the same with less overheard. There is a good thread about that regarding git where Linus goes medieval on a poster for suggesting a switch to C++ to include some simple string manipulation lib.

This is a very well known fake interview where Stroustrup pretends that he invented the language half as a joke and half to keep programming hard and a highly paid job.

the worldwide mainly used language developed on a joke? it was a very sucessful joke. i don't believe Stroustrup was sane in the interview.
