My secret place to be alone with my thoughts silence only broken by gulls scavaging for food and the sounds of the waves as they lap gently to the shore This place is my sanctuary open space as far as the eye can see a place where I can dream and put the world to rights I can sit and watch the sun rise and know this is where I want to be The reflection from the water glistens from the rays of the blinding sun each grain of sand shining as it disperses upon my touch I glance back and see footprints and know there will be only one set How many days will I visit here before I learn I have to move on my dreams lay not in footprints or of wishful thinking about you but in realising deep down that my dreams can come true By TM
