Back In The Old Days, When Marbles & Postage Stamp Collecting Were Children's Favorites, Many Adults Collected Match Book & Match Box Covers. One Could Accumulate Quite A Collection, If He Frequently Travelled. Most Households Had A Stockpile Of What We Called "Farmer Matches" --- Large Wooden Matches That One Could Ignite On His Pant Leg Or Most Anywhere Else. "Real Men" Lit Them With Their Thumbnails But, Occasionally, A Chunk Of Sulfur Lodged Under The Nail & Tough Guys Were Quickly Transformed Into Whimpering Cry-Babies, Until The Pain (& The Flame) Subsided. Another Stupid Move Was To Put A Few Farmer Matches In One's Pocket. Friction Is A Wonderful Thing, At Times, But --- Hey! Ya Really Don't Want To Experience A Spontaneous Science Experiment In Your Pants Pocket!!
