I met this artist at the Columbus Art Festival a few years ago. I was with Neysa, and it rained heavily. We were soaking wet after the walk home. I loved this artist's style of retablos, mixing political and social themes with religious and spiritual ones. The combination of sculpture and paint and found object art appeals to me, because it seems to be more real to me than some of the more "modern" art I've seen.
