Why did they feature the distributions they did? They left out one of the most popular distros, Mint and one of the most stable distros, Debian. Then they recommend Kubuntu and mention Ubuntu just as an afterthought. Nearly every professional Linux user recommends the same thing: If you want the KDE Desktop Environment, install UBUNTU and then change it's environment to KDE. KUBUNTU is not the same, and you'll be missing out on the award-winning ease of use and reliability of the main Ubuntu branch.
