- with all the varied ways we have of acquiring and playing music, still I've a thing for the live, especially the symphony and local indies but hard to link to live performances so here a favorite recording and a lovely site to listen to some. It's a woman embracing a musical tradition mostly male dominated and a daughter carrying on a father's love and discipline, discovered Anoushka early in the year, a second favorite just came up, Aimee Manns Christmas album, a few pages on there is a link to her fun site,

Have seen her perform with her father, she is promising, but not yet at his level - on the other hand, he doesn't have her looks :-)
