I call hoax. Why would guards in a prison decie to put pins under a microscope? Where did this "A Schiller" get a microscope? You would think something this special would be in a museum somewhere and easily provable instead of the same article copied between sites on the intertubes. "A Schiller" sounds like a pretty suspicious (made up) name to me.

Tools too small to be seen with the naked eye... so what, he had a microscope in his cell? And somehow managed to make minute tools... in a prison cell? Ooooookay.
