stickyphingers rated 5 months ago- My friend has just returned from India where he was on retreat with the Divine Mother. He says Amma and her family are planning a tour here in North America in 2008--April or after! Stay posted for her visit near your town.

- Neat, but some of the deeper links are broken, such as those under "Get Involved."

PiTrinam rated 14 months ago- Much Thanks and Love to Amma! Peace!&Love2U&Yours! PiTrinam

FIREFinance rated 16 months ago- "It is the conflict in the individual mind that manifests as war. When individuals change, the society will automatically change."

wackywoodwoorker rated 17 months ago- "If we show humility and patience, this may also create a change in the other person who criticizes us." Amma has time and again emphasized that the duty of every human being is to realize his true Self, or in other words,' know who we really are.' She does not favor any particular religion. When asked to which religion she belongs, she says, "My religion is love and service."

joelus rated 33 months ago- Wow, what an amazing woman! Amma' as she is known all over the world today, has inspired and started innumerable humanitarian services. She has earned international recognition for her outstanding contributions to the world community. She is recognized as an extraordinary spiritual leader by the United Nations and by the people all over the world. Amma says, "The beauty and charm of selfless love and service should not die away from the face of the earth. The world should know that a life of dedication is possible, that a life inspired by love and service to humanity is possible. Meditation and studying the scriptures are like two sides of a coin. The engraving on that coin is selfless service, and that is what gives it its real value. Our compassion and acts of selflessness take us to the deeper truths. Through selfless action we can eradicate the ego that conceals the Self. Detached, selfless action leads to liberation. Such action is not just work; it is karma yoga."

- Amma presents a real conundrum to many Christian believers: she lives and breathes the person of Jesus better than most Christians. She's not alone, of course..there are many many people like this- people who love in reality rather than theory. Many of my Xtian brothers and sisters don't know what to make of them..
