- What Laukev7 said. This site is rife with inaccuracies. Like many of my fellow Canadians (and many Mexicans, I'm sure) I find this "North American Union" disagreeable because (like NAFTA before it) it is an attempt by the U.S. government to perform a de facto annexation of states bordering the U.S. The idea that somehow Mexico and Canada are going to usurp control of the U.S. is laughable (not least because China already owns the U.S. economy).

Somebody must have taken over this site. This was so pro Amero before.

- While I commend this site for spreading the word on the North American Union, it carries a lot of inaccurate information about Canada and Mexico that could alienate potential allies.
Firstly, Canada is not a 'socialist' country; on the contrary the federal government has been increasingly leaning towards neoliberalism both under the Liberals and the Conservatives, and the same is true for Mexico under the Fox government.
Secondly, firearms are NOT banned in Quebec, nor in the rest of Canada. Yes, we have gun control laws and a federal firearms registry. But that is not the same as a blanket gun ban. If you want proof of this, just remember the Dawson shooting incident that happened only a month ago.
Lastly, the site gives readers the impression that Canadians are in favour of the NAU because it benefits us as a 'middle power'. That is NOT true. The vast majority of Canadians are STRONGLY opposed to any such idea, as many consider that we would become an American colony and be sucked dry of our natural resources, such as oil, lumber, and especially water. Only the neoliberal economic elite benefits from such an arrangement.
