Half-Mad rated 8 weeks ago- From the page: "The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol now takes the position that it can seize and copy the contents of a laptop or other computing device for a traveler entering the United States, based simply on its authority to do traditional border searches."

sourcerror rated 8 weeks ago- From the page: " My focus is different, drawing on my personal involvement in the encryption policy battles from a decade ago. My thesis is that laptop border searches bear a striking similarity to the federal encryption policy that was attempted during the 1990s but reversed in 1999. My testimony presents a brief history of these ā€oecrypto wars,” as they were called. "

fluidmatt rated 8 weeks ago- scary stuff... thumbed up because it needs to be seen, but the story itself definitely doesn't get my approval

- Perhaps you complainers haven't heard about the war the Islamic fundamentalists have declared against us? Sweeping powers to search at the border have always existed; it's all hype that this is radically new. Of course you never have helpful suggestions on how to fight terrorism; but hamstring, denigrate and cripple military, intelligence, security and police groups who protect us, you're expert at that! (hey vulgar-mouth, I guess that means you won't be coming, what a loss!)

Nutzilla rated 8 weeks ago- I think that the TSA is an agency out of control, they say that they make these "rules" for our protection. I think that they are full of BS.
