Broccoli doesn't need no fancy lemon. BROCCOLI IS GOOD! Also... you wash your vegetables to get the freakin dirt off of them, not because of germs. Do you want to eat the crap they grow this stuff in? Furthermore, you wash meat not because of germs either, you're washing off... well, with chickens it's that slimy disgusting goo that forms on them after being in that sack for two weeks before it gets to you. (And no... it's not blood, it's goo that seeps out of the chicken. I worked in a butcher shop, arg... chicken is by far the most disgusting thing there.) :( broccoli is good.

This dish is ridiculously good. I was worried about roasting broccoli for 25 minutes - I hate to overdo veggies. But the Amateur Gourmet was right... crispy broccoli was the result.

I'm glad I've stumbled across this again ... I just want to say I've tried this and they are correct in saying you will never go back to boiling or steaming broccoli again ... and also my son will now it broccoli even in his Mac & Cheese .... WOW
