Ugh, I hate all these financial blogs. Typically they author doesn't have a whole lot of knowledge about the subject or much common sense, as evidenced here. I do agree that the stimulus checks are a bad idea, not because they won't work (they will) but because I don't agree with the government spending money on such things. Anyway, the most glaring error in this article is that if everyone who received a stimulus check did not cash it the dollar would improve more than the check is worth. The reason this is so wrong is because the author assumes that everyone receiving these checks would have the same amount of money saved. Well, they don't... many people would not realize any increase in overall value because they have little assets. Moreover, the people that would benefit most from an increase in the value of the dollar are the wealthy, as they have the most money. We all know that wealthy is distributed proportionately amongst a small percentage of the population. These people are not receiving stimulus checks as the make too much a year. Psuedo educational finance blogs and books like this are going to do more harm than good the layman investors and businessmen.

Well, seeing as how I'm WAY behind on bills, I will have to spend my check.

From the page: "If we refused to cash our checks, the value of the dollars in our pockets would go up by more than the face value of the stimulus refund."
