what does it all mean? will we ever settle down and just accept that all companies, all software platforms, all websites, need open social networking tools with completely interoperable profiles, widgets and data. there is no reason for any company to buy another companies social network. what are they paying for? the members are transitory, will need to be free to migrate and the tools are free.
