 Jewel37 rated 25 months ago- READ LABELS! This stuff is in everything, not just soda. Try to find a loaf of bread that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup in it!

 Alucardbsm rated 25 months ago- What they didn't think of is that as the obesity population rises they consume more sugar. I didn't think so. Fat people make sugar popular, not sugar makes people fat.
 beez23 rated 25 months ago- Abstract of a paper showing a parallel rise in obesity with HFCS consumption. Does not show causation (i.e. obesity may be increased otherwise and obese people simply like sweet stuff). Still, neat.

Also note that when you enter HFCS into Google, the first thing that comes up is an industry-sponsored site that says that high fructose corn syrup is good for you! Remember, farmers use silage (fermented corn, similar to corn syrup) to fatten pigs up for the slaughter... Hmm.
