- Time for a well deserved rant ... this is a stark realization of what's been wrong with America for the past few years, since Bush decided to distract us and use 9/11 as a scapegoat towards the march to war - towards a potentially endless conflict dubbed the War on Terror. We were asked to go shopping and keep our normal routines, not worry too much except to remember the remote possibility of the threat of an imminent attack - we've been lied to by the politicians that we've helped swear in to protect us - all the while, our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms have been slowly stripped away in the name of security and our economy has been slowly bled to fuel the war effort and line the pockets of the war profiteers - while leaving us with a sense of apathy, as if there's nothing we can do to change our circumstances ...
