this makes me feel sick. I know that it is not Islam that causes this, but the world-wide misinterpretation of Islam. Just like all religion. there is a correlation between the Kansas creationism education MurunB, but there is also a closer correltion between this and the parents who let their child die of diabetes without seeking medical attention because they believed God would save her. Religion does not cause these things, but both a horribly literal interpretation of religion and applying it to thing that should not have religion involved. this girl would not have been stoned if the basic justic system most countries have was applied.

Horribly sad. It's unimaginable to me that people stood by and watched. A few tried to stop it but it's sickening that the majority of people just accepted it as justice.

Religion isn't the only thing that could invoke a gang of soldiers to savagely murder a little girl who was raped for being raped, but it is the only thing which could make it legal.

As long as we give "religion" any credence, crap like this will happen. There is a direct line between the banning of evolution teaching in Kansas and this poor little girl being murdered. If you don't understand why, you're part of the problem, not the solution.
