liquidiridium discovered 3 months ago- From the page: "BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - Wal-Mart, which accounts for about 30 pct of all foreign purchasing in China and almost 10 pct of total US imports from the country, will convene a meeting of hundreds of its Chinese suppliers to urge them to adopt more environmentally-friendly practices, the Financial Times reported. Wal-Mart chief executive Lee Scott told the newspaper that about 1,000 Chinese companies are expected to attend the event in October. He added that Chinese government is increasingly concerned about the environmental impact of rapid industrialization. "The Chinese government has just now really got on the sustainability process as far as understanding what it is going to mean for them in the long term. And they're being really aggressive," the newspaper quoted Scott as saying."
