"My personal favorite is an ad from the 1950s that reads `Rinsing Dacron Curtains in Milk Makes Them Crisp, Stiff, Just Like New.'" Soggy Rotten Milk Curtains! That's brilliant! Why didn't I think of that.? *Runs off to pour skim milk on curtains*

Odd things that have been found in secondhand books. Some of these were just weird, others rather poignant. It's sad to think of someone's once treasured photographs, letters, or even their ring, lying forgotten in some dusty book.
