Fun card games

It's really slick how this is done without Flash or Shockwave or anything. HTML, CSS, a little JavaScript for the animations, and presto.

It plays a lot better than the one from Microsoft, plus it has the variations as well. Awesome site.

This site has many solitaire games; however, I link it in here to make a point. In olden times, when I was a kid, we used physical playing cards instead of computers. (I mention this because when I used to speak at the A.A.U.W. events to encourage 7-8th grade girls to study science and math I would suggest that there were far better uses for computers than playing solitaire and suggested they use real cards for that - and they had no idea what I was talking about.) Anyway, back to the point. If one of the 52 cards in the deck fell behind a desk or dropped to the floor, no matter how many ways or times you tried to win you were S.O.L. (simply out of luck.) Once you realized that, how many more games would you play with your deck of 51? THAT, my friends, is an excellent analogy for the real life games we've been playing - simply unwinnable. Some of us are no longer willing to play games where the outcome is obvious because others already hold all the aces. Care to join me in a new world of peace and abundance for all? Many are those who are ready to build it and see how it can be done. You are hereby personally invited to come along with us.
