it's a neat photo but its likely fake. in a tree's development the tissues don't migrate upward, [meristem tissue divides and grows causing vertical growth] that is if you were to inscribe a mark into the tree at a certain height no matter how much that tree grew after that mark isn't going to be any higher off the ground because you are only cutting tissue that can not do any further vertical growth.
