I don't really like this site, but I used to. I still use it. Like so many sites, it was created by some cleaver individuals as a simple but through IT/computer dictionary and glossary. It became popular, and, as with so many other cleaver ideas/sites, the creators sold out to a larger commercial enterprise. Now is a sophisticated search engine with a lot of advertising. Some times I find it hard to see what I am searching for for all the "noise". Does Wikipedia do better? These days, probably yes. But I still use it. I miss the simplicity of the original site. -jan

Useful Computer / IT Dictionary - best part are the handy "Cheat Sheets" particularly he ones for file extensions & windows error codes ... there aren't that many :( but they have a nice range from RAID, to RAM, to IT humor to chat and text messaging abbreviations .... also has a knowledge exchange & links to news /how-tos but haven't checked those out yet

If you want to stay ahead of the game, or simply learn about what HTTP is, or telephony, or SQL -- or just about anything else having to do with the Net and computers -- you're likely to find the answer.

I'll just use Wikipedia for an online encyclopedia.
