Wendy and I have almost no interests in common; we also have a major difference of opinion as to what characterizes a "troll"; and I am also uncomfortable with her relationship with SEOs. However, I am giving Wendy, as a person, a thumbs up. I was impressed with her response to my previous, much more negative review, and increasingly impressed as we began a conversation here. She is thoughtful, honest, and decent, and is the first marketer I've encountered who chose to try to talk rather than angrily retaliate. I spent several hours exploring her pages and realized she plays fair- she uses tags well, she thumbs down spam, and she brings her own interests into her blog (rather than focusing solely on marketing). There are two SEOs I actually respect and now there is a marketer I respect. We both disagree about many things, but I think we both understand that generalizing about "the other side" is not a fair approach. I apologize to her for my previous remarks, which were based on my mistake in lumping her in with a group of people I generally despise. But she ended up surprising me, and I'm glad she did.
