allsux discovered 4 months ago- From the page: "Imagine the world in 2050 with almost 80% of the planetâ€s population living in urban centers and our fruit, vegetables and even animals are grown in … skyscrapers? One manâ€s vision has sparked a series of designs leading closer and closer to what will be the first real-life vertical urban farm in Las Vegas, Nevada of all places."

UglyZombi rated 7 weeks ago- I hate the future.

- First of all Humans have no need to build up. why put the stuff we consume into an atmosphere rife with poisons, carbons, dioxides and such? our food, despite plants providing oxygen for us are not meant to be put into elevations like this. second of all. I am a natural being which is incomprehensible to most of you, being plugged into a microchip transistor all the time. this whole idea while cool and creating jobs (hey we all need good pay) urbanization kills the imagination and brings the worst out of decent folk. we have the space to live and grow our food with out needing to dense urban skyscrapers. those buildings breed insanity, look over the edge and tell me you're not temped to jump.

xroadie rated 8 weeks ago- Yes, and I'm working on a machine that creates more energy than it consumes. Absolute fantasy.

jonah561 rated 2 months ago- yeah cool build one

- I'm all in favor or progress, especially when it's green but these are so laughingly conceptual! Do you really thing they'll build even 1 of these before the year 3000?

LemonBlueberry rated 3 months ago- From the page: "5 Urban Design Proposals for 3D City Farms: Sustainable, Ecological and Agricultural Skyscrapers" Includes great pictures and a video. I love this idea and have read about it before. I hope to live to see these built. Although, I don't want to see our ecosystem destroyed and these created in their place.

YearoftheRat rated 3 months ago- I very much like this idea. Clean, and aesthetically pleasing, BUT: how well would the structural integrity hold up in some of these designs?

theasus rated 3 months ago- This is going to need to be implemented... like oh... say.. now.

- Great idea... until someone erects a taller building between your urban farm and the sun.

individualathome rated 3 months ago- I want to live here right now. not in the future!
