I used to put music on for waking up, until I started hearing music in my dream. Feature proposal: latest time to wake up, with built in speaker noise. :)

I like the whole idea. We did try this once on a windows based machine with some diffrent coding but we messed up and ended up getting woken up at 2.53AM for a few nights until we decided to pull the computer plug out. LOL

I'd never wake up if it played Enya. Some breakcore would do the trick. The problem with this is I'd have to have my computer running all night, which would mean that I woke up feeling shitty. The noise of the fan really messes up my sleep.

Cute quick hack. It doesn't have a "stop playing the damn music" feature though - which most standard music players (such as winamp and audacious) fancily have at hand.

Keep your PC turned on all night long, to wake up in the morning. Assuming you can sleep with that PC in your room. And remember to turn the speakers on. And disable skype (don't let Skype-spam wake you up at 4.30 am). Very clever, indeed!
