To start using the Wayback Machine to surf the web as it was, just type a URL (a web site address) into the box above, click the Take Me Back button, and start exploring the past.

The Wayback Machine is the best way to check out where sites came from and give us perspective as to where we are going. If ever your web design has you down in the dumps, jump back to 1996 and you'll feel like even the simplest AJAX is pretty impressive.
