After reading this i am curious why all nations don't immediately adopt American democracy as their way of life. I mean look at the obvious benefits we enjoy. Where else can an average nobody be exalted to the status of "Suspect" for no reason. Pre-911 no less. From the page: "After more than an hour, I told the agent that I was hungry, that I hadn't eaten all day. It was now late afternoon. I was ignored. Time passed and I had to go to the bathroom. I was taken by two agents to the bathroom where they had me lean against the wall, spread my legs, so that they could search me. After that, they let me go to the bathroom while they watched. I had been wearing a panty liner that day because I had been spotting. They ordered me to show them the panty liner, as well as the tissue that I used to wipe myself after I urinated."

Why is her name "Janneral Denson" only have 86 hits, and none of them are reputable sites except the ACLU which mentions her briefly. I hate to sound like a cynic but... nvm http://edition.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/05/21/racial.profiling/

This is one of the most horrible stories I've ever read which highlights the destruction of our rights as human beings in America. Furthermore, this story shows the way in which our government officials carry out their failed "War on Drugs" policies.

I am always mindful that we are only getting one side of this story, even so, it seems clear to me that if even half of this story is true that this woman was very badly treated and denied many of the rights she is entitled to. It may well be that the agents involved thought they were in the right and simply doing their jobs, even so,some behavior is simply not proper. This qualifies.

I hope she is living large after going through that bullshit. Fuck them. They wouldn't let her make a phone call or eat any real food. She's fucking PREGNANT! All of her child's medical bills for the rest of the child's life should be paid courtesy of the US taxpayer. There is a difference between taking of liberties (which I don't agree with) and taking of human rights.
