I was taught that I could do anything I wanted to do and I have too. I've not always been the most popular kid on the block but that was never a goal anyway. The way I figure it is if I'm not on your payroll and your name isn't on my banking acct, I really don't care what anyone thinks, says or does. It's my hope that others believe the same about me, also.

Well thought-out response. I agree with your comment that being fondled is a form of being mistreated - maybe it depends on who's doing the fondling. :)

One of the problems of the lack of the social contract on the Web (and a lack of the observation of the Golden Rule) is that individuals feel free to make statements about fine women like Beth Whitman which are so far from the truth that they are ludicrous--yet can hide in anonymity while hurling "ad hominem" comments...My experience is that women tend to be far more adventurous travelers in general, and Beth's true stories and ongoing adventures demonstrate this again and again. In addition, a slight majority of visitors to travel websites tend to be women in every survey I have seen, just as most women make travel decisions in couples or family situations (not my case, but that is because I have traveled far more than most). Perhaps a minority of men are jealous over what they may perceive to be a lack of power and therefore express such emotions irrationally... but I would hope that this is a minority. Vive la difference!

Reminder, don't call Beth Whitman a liar! She's all woman and proud of it!
