Awesome! -- The whistling is SO annoying.

I could do without the whistling and it is a bit too long, but the touchscreen is cool

I dont care much for 3d desktops, but the added touchscreen element is quite nice.

Neat as a demo, but I don't think people could seriously use computers that way. Think about how tiring it would be to have your arms in the air like that, and alternating between screen touching and typing on a keyboard. No thanks.

I think this is cool, but I nearly bust out laughing when he knocked his microphone over...(ssspthunk!! *FUCK*)...

The whistling however can go... it'd be one thing if he was whistling some catchy tune, but no, I got the impression he was just aimlessly whistling...

Here's a thought: next time you don't know what to put for the audio track, just throw in some Trance or house music... Make sure to add a few interesting fades and wipes, and then end with a credits page... it'll look more like you are demonstrating a model and less like you're flipping your touch screen because you're bored with sticking your thumb up your ass while you whistle...

Does anyone else feel the whistling is a tad on the big headed side?

Actually quite contrary to what electronut1978 said, you don't need a super fast GPU to run xgl. My family has a pretty old computer with only a GeForce2 MX400 GPU but it runs just fine with all this stuff and more. RAM isn't a lot either, just 512 MB, and I have a 512 MB swap, but only 2 MB of it is used.

Personally I liked the whistling. It gave it a very homely touch.

Looks good, but the video highlights why touchscreen doesn't always work. Do you want to be prodding the screen in a futile attempt to pick up a window, or open a taskbar? Or do you want it to just do it?
