knitterr rated 5 weeks ago- Everyone...it's June 2008...let's review...this documentary is worth watching by people of all political/social/economic viewpoints. Many scenes not good for children to see or HEAR..but not a "thriller", not a porn, it's serious and very well edited. It documents. "....Chronological look at the fiasco in Iraq, especially decisions made in the spring of 2003 - and the backgrounds of those making decisions - immediately following the overthrow of Saddam: no occupation plan, an inadequate team to run the country, insufficient troops to keep order, and three edicts from the White House announced by Bremmer when he took over: no provisional Iraqi government, de-Ba'athification, and disbanding the Iraqi armed services. The film has chapters (from History to Consequences), and the talking heads are reporters, academics, soldiers, military brass, and former Bush-administration officials, including several who were in Baghdad in 2003.« http://video.on.nytimes.com/?fr_story=40ca91b5d987c7337fdc64e28d7173b022884be6

Minestrone rated 4 months ago- A very good documentary on the war on Iraq. In detail we get the whole story about what and why things went wrong, and as Mosizill sayes, you can figure out for yourself who's responsible.

Mosizhill rated 5 months ago- a true insight into iraq. very worthwhile documentary. does such a good job explaining the problems it doesnt need to place blame, you can point the finger yourself. superb

del35 rated 5 months ago- This nearly 1.6 hours long video concerning the Iraq "war" sees the problems in the Iraq invasion, and does a good job of identifying them. They have to go little further and realize that the real architects of the Iraq war,the Neocons, wanted to fracture Iraq. Its is curious that in an attempt to toe the line, the makers of this video dont want to point out the fact that the masterminds of the Iraq invasion had no interest in a fuctional post-iraq. In essence Americans were robbed out of 1,8 trillion dollars, and the number will keep growing. You can see an eight minutes video that sheds a great deal of understanding on the Iraq war by visiting this link: CLICK HERE.

flyinglungfish rated 5 months ago- A gripping documentary, presenting the raw story from a front-line perspective with interviews from key players. Telling the post-invasion story chronologically, interviews with key insiders strongly convey the feeling of frustration and confusion that created a power vacuum that became a maelstrom. Along with news footage and clips and interviews with a few soldiers who were there, the doc includes interviews with General Jay Garner (who briefly ran the reconstruction before being replaced by L. Paul Bremer), Ambassador Barbara Bodine (who was placed in charge of the Baghdad embassy), Richard Armitage ( former deputy secretary of the State Department), Robert Hutchings (former chairman of the National Intelligence Council), Col. Lawrence Wilkerson (Colin Powell's former chief of staff), and Col. Paul Hughes (who worked in the ORHA and then the CPA). An excellent companion film to Woodward's book _State of Denial: Bush at War, part III_. What that book does to give you a feeling for the process at work in Rumsfeld's office and down the chain of command, this movie does to show the results of such tragic mismanagement.
