- Something that doesn't get addressed much is how the industrial revolution destroyed small economies by sucking the money out of them. One man in this machine does the work of how many lumberjacks? Let's just guess one hundred. Does the man in the machine get 100 times the salary? Do the men who built the machine get 100 times the salary? Do the CEOs of the lumber company and the machine company get 100 times the salary? Jobs are continuing to disappear, money is being sucked out of the middle class, and the rich are getting richer. Isn't that how it always goes? However, every person has free will and personal responsibility. Every common person in the street can choose whether to shop in his or her local economy, or at Walmart. Mega-corporations are collecting all our money, to a large extent, because we give it to them, not thinking about the larger cause and effect of doing so.

- This is how they do lumber nowdays. NO more lumber jacks, with chain saws etc. Its all done with these Harvesters. In no time they can clear cut acres on top of acres.
