This has yet to be reviewed by any independent scientific research, and it's been how long? Rubbish.

Equinox - It Runs on Water (1995) On Sunday, 17 December 1995, viewers in U.K. saw an hour-long T V. program which, at long last, puts across the clear message that "free energy" is on the way. In the opening stages Arthur C. Clarke explained how there were four stages in the way scientists react to the development of anything of a revolutionary nature. "Free energy" was now working its way through these four stages of reaction, which were: a: "It's nonsense," b: "It is not important," c: "I always said it was a good idea," and d: "I thought of it first." The scene moved to Rome, Georgia where Jim Griggs of Hydrodynamics, Inc. demonstrated the assembly and operation of a "hydrosonic water pump" which operated over-unity by producing hot water or steam with energy in excess of the electrical energy input to the pump motor. "Over-unity" was confirmed by satisfied customers, including the Albany Fire Station, where engineers from the "local university" and the "local power company" had been called in to verify the over-100% efficiency.

The British program Equinox takes a look at alternative energy technology. These technologies appear to work. The show was produced in 1995, so where are these technologies? Could it be that the Big Energy forces, Big OIL, Big Coal and Big Utilities have so much invested into the status quo that they would suppress by any means any new technology that would seriously threaten their monopoly? Program introduced by Arthur C. Clarke. Very good! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2464139837181538044&q=It+runs+o n+water&ei=-holSKu-HpHk4AKHk43hCQ&hl=en

Video on Electrical Scheme for Perpetual Motion (entitled Free Energy)
Bullshit. But just for the record, an SU page reviews another copy of what appears to be the same video, where I've commented further.

According to Wikipedia, "In 1996, inventor Stanley Meyer was sued by investors to whom he had sold dealerships, offering the right to do business in Water Fuel Cell technology. According to The Times, Meyer claimed in court that his invention "opened the way for a car which would 'run on water', powered simply by a car battery." The car would even run perpetually without fuel since the energy needed to continue the "fracturing" was low enough for the engine's dynamo to recharge the car's battery.[2] His car was due to be examined by the expert witness Michael Laughton, Professor of Electrical Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. However Meyer made what Professor Laughton considered a "lame excuse" on the days of examination and did not allow the test to proceed. The Water Fuel Cell on the other hand, was examined by three expert witnesses in court who found that there "was nothing revolutionary about the cell at all and that it was simply using conventional electrolysis". On the basis of the evidence the court found Meyer guilty of "gross and egregious fraud" and ordered to repay the investors their $25,000"

Is this something Darth Vader came up with to mislead us? Well, Stanley Meyer IS dead......
