- Moving and powerful, without hysteria or hyperbole a simple recounting of 'just the facts' proves the old adage that those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it.

- That this NOW is shocking for people is scary. There must be huge black holes in the education system of some of the worlds most advanced nations. If most people knew their history, they would have seen the insanity right from the beginning, and this would be handled in a better way. To watch the actions of the USA (and UK) after 11.09.2001 has been a scary experience - emotional masses frighten into nationalism and fear of other nations, raging out in anger with "God" on their side, supporting a government run by lying morons surrounding one of the biggest dumbasses the world have ever seen as their president... That was shocking... ...the world's only "superpower" acting on motions like pre Homo sapiens... Fortunately things are getting better - the sane people in the USA and the world are winning foothold - thanks too all of them! (...I'm repeting my self...)

- Astounding! Chilling! Incredible! You've heard comparisons of Bush and Hitler before - but not this detailed! You've got to see this! It's hard to tell if this guy is talking about George W Hitler, or Adolph Bush. There seems to be very little difference...

- A few bones to pick... #1 FDR indeed went after unions, he also presided over the largest theft of wealth by a government from its people in the west by declaring private ownership of gold illegal, confinscating it at a price that was so far below value as to be laughable. In addition to which, his policies combined with the failure to restore the federal reserve to public hands have led to a national debt we may never recover from as a nation... ( and just you ask for an audit of our gold reserves...try it! Ask your congressmen today and see what the response it...Ask when the last one was...You'll be shocked!)
I'll give him the rest of the stuff - but Poland was not an "innocent party". The polish government had presided over the slaughter - both genocide & ethnic cleansing of native Germans who were stuck in Poland as a remnant of the borders being redrawn in the first world war. Some 30-58K Germans died there, and there is a vast grave of them with nothing more than a 4" by 5" sign to mark the spot. This happened *before* the invasion of Poland and is the primary reason for the invasion of Poland... Poland also had made conderable efforts to sabotage the German government, and by a serious underestimation of both the pride of the German people and its tangibility as a state had attempted (and succeeded) in provoking a war with Germany by slaughtering Germans living in Poland & its sabotage activities inside of Germany. Poland gambled on really bad intel and they lost. They had thought the state was in such bad shape it would fall apart under the stresses of war.
Now I understand why Thom Hartmann believes the things he does - these are some of the most suppressed incidents in world history. You wont find this stuff in your average high school or college history course. Much like the demonization of Iraq & Saddam Hussein - Germany had to be made into a total evil before & after to justify what was done. Remember weapons of mass destruction? Gassing the kurds (which the Iranians did)? Omit that Kuwait was indeed printing Iraqi currency to try to destabilize the government of Iraq, omit that Kuwait was indeed drilling on the other side of the border and coveted a piece of land (which they now have) with port access in Um Qasr - which has always been a part of Iraq & Kuwait stole. (This was the basis in which Kuwait was invaded.) If you seriously believe everything your government says during war & the build up to war about the other country -- well, I got news for you -- Germany was no different. It was no different after either...
