I've been waiting for this one for a long time. This is going to be my second unpaid brand name endorsement, for Dove, for their courage and they're taking action to make the world a better place. I love it! As a woman you're constantly being compared in the media to some kind of oddball sceleton fetishist creations, and as a man you almost can't help feeling a little bit bizarre if you're really attracted to roundish girls (like me). Now here's someone REALLY sexy. And she wouldn't even need the hairdo and make-up, even though it does work pretty well on my computer screen. And it ruins the skinny girls too; nothing takes the sexiness out of the frail, slender kind of beauty than a thick facial gob of potentially health-hazardous if colorful chemicals and the good ol' "Proud To Conform" face look and body language. Have a look at dove's beauty fabrication de-masking effort and feel beautiful simply because you chose to. It worked for me (I'm a slender, intellectual type and I have absolutely no need for the body of a bricklayer) and it certainly works for my stunning, wildly-nonconforming and infinitely sexy best lady-friend of all times. Have a look at Dove's beauty fabrication video and feel beautiful because you chose to! Evolution - A Dove Film

Dove is just using clever marketing to manipulate women. They are the same company that owns Axe, with those horribly sexist commercials.

Clever video showing how far from reality the images we see of beauty truly are. Although, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that Dove's whole self-esteem campaign is largely about making themselves money. Damn my cynicism.

I am definitely one who is sick of seeing perfect people in advertisements everywhere, knowing that the vast majority (if not all) are wickedly photoshopped. This quick video points out that even gorgeous models aren't good enough... sad. We're great as we are, let's get real already! Click Here: A new film from Dove shows how the "effortless" beauty we see on billboards is actually created.

I don't generally like big corporates in the beauty business, and they don't come any bigger than Unilever who are behind Dove. But this video is really interesting and well worth a watch.

"No wonder or perception of beauty is distorted" uhhhh.. yeah! I couldn't even recognize her at the end, just goes to show beauty is a product of photoshop! Evolution or devolution?

This is one of my favourite videos of all time! It goes to show that real beauty is not portrayed by the ads we see in magazines or on television, but by the people we see among us everyday on the street, etc. :) Flaws are beautiful as well... It's what makes us all unique...Well done Dove!

It's true that girls on magazines are super models, size zero and they use the best photographers, makeup artists, stylists and lightning to produce the best photo. Nothing wrong with that. But is it really true that they use digital manipulation to alter neck and face structure? Do they really go that far? Or Dove try to sell it's own products by making others look bad? How can advertisers pass the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) approval and not be mark as unfair or deceptive advertising?

I found this really interesting to watch, it makes you think, what you see in the magazines and on billboards, its not real.
People aspire to be somethign that isn't actually real.
It's upsetting.
Upsettign that, I also, as I walk down the street and see those adverts often think to myself "I wish my skin was that clear" "I wish I was that thin".

I bet its not just me though.
