caffeina discovered 6 months ago- This brings up a lot of questions. It's stunning, and fascinating. "It's been said that the Internet has created the greatest generation gap since the advent of Rock & Roll"

TruDann rated 2 months ago- I think the parents buy into fear mongering too much in a lot of this. blah.. I have so much opinion about this I'm not even going to get started. Its a good video and it will make you think about human social structure.

AvangionQ rated 6 months ago- Is it just me or do Teens gravitate towards MySpace and Facebook and adults gravitate towards Digg and Stumbleupon ... aside from that, parents and teachers have an uphill battle on their hands -- but why is it that this seems to be more of an American issue than anywhere else ... no, I could be completely wrong to make such generalizations, but why do I need to convince myself of the veracity of these two statements ... [ADDENDUM] The video claims that online predators are more dangerous than local predators -- what a laugh! In this instance, the primary thing that the parents are afraid of seems to be the unknown aspect of computers ... and in this case, the inevitable conclusion of the fear of the unknown is that once suspected, the teen is overprotected beyond any rational limit and thereby socially stunted -- parents need to understand that a middle ground needs to be established and that teaching your children about the dangers of this world is the best way to protect them -- and that turning them into the bubble boy is worse than the alternative.
