PART 1 - HAPPINESS MACHINES Episode from BBC4 series 'The Century of the Self' which delves into the history of government control of the populace. ***You can find links to the other 3 episodes in this series on my page***

The BBC's "Century of the Self". An excellent, excellent series. This should play at least 3 times a year on some major American TV station. Its a shame this info is not more widely known.

This is one of my all-time favorite documentaries, a 4-part expose on the Freud dynasty's influence on the cultural development of the modern American all-consuming self. Produced by Adam Curtis for the BBC.

A for part documentary from BBC, which discuses the evolution and influences of psychoanalysis in business and politics. Among others, the documentary focuses on Adward Bernayes, the father of Public Relation and on the Freud's relatives. A must see documentary.

An extraordinary documentary in four episodes. Mind control and social order: from citizens to consumers. And a lot more... A must watch.
