Rather like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster, despite the photographic evidence it's hard to believe that so rare and beguiling a creature as Bettie Page could ever truly exist.
She somehow could appear, at once, both angelically wholesome and devilishly horny --like an overclocked Stepford Wife, or a sex-doll by Mattel-- and as such, she is still the only woman I've seen who could convince a vicar that BDSM is a suitable recreation for a church picnic.
