Fascinating. In some of these pictures it is ver effective. Some animals have naturally learnt to do this to effectively hide from the predators or to take their pray by surprise,

Liu Bolin from Shandong, China works on a single photo for up to ten hours at a time to make sure he achieves the right effect. He says his art is a protest against the actions of the Government, who shut down his studio in 2005 and persecuted artists. Despite problems with the Chinese authorties, Liu's works are now appreciated at an International level.
