so you can accept that a microorganism can evolve into a resistant strain within a few decades, but then go on to say that most observed mutations go in the way of decreased complexity? Mutations don't care about what they are doing, they just happen. If we are being conservative(very... more

While I intensely hate creationism. Trudeau's definition of a creationist is more in line with a Christian Scientist than a creationist.

Trudeau's comic was excellent as always. But I really have no interest in a former God-botherer's dilemmas about whether or not God really exists. Quite possibly it's just our competing brands of churches and ideologies that are the problem.

Most of evolution IS mutation! If there is a mutation that benefits the species it is passed on while the non mutated die until the mutation is part of the entire species. Anyone who says mutation and evolution are different doesn't know what they are saying.

"Believing in Evolution" is one of the dumbest notions ever. This comic is certainly worth a good laugh!

@sonicm - that's because most creationist think the earth is only 6,000 years old and have a hard time thinking about a time that existed before their own egos. Microevolution = macroevolution on a long enough timescale.

That's utterly retarded. Microevolution is not what most people have a problem with, it's evolution on a much larger scale that people have trouble accepting.
