patoloco rated 13 months ago- OH MY GOD! The article spouts off about American prejudice against the "evil European Muslims". A quiet reminder of how Spain was ruled by Muslims (for over 800 years) and how these Muslims are "different" because they come from all kinds of different sects...just like there are different Catholics. Thanks for the history lesson-- gee, US dumb Americans didn't know ANY of this (where's the fucking sarcasm dripping smiley when you need it?). And then goes on to explain how these Muslims are not within "our control" (meaning Europe, I think specifically talking of Germans, don't remember). How these Muslims "voluntarily stay within their own ghettos". HOLY SHIT! No mention of Europe's own discrimination against Muslims, how (especially in Spain and France) there is a "glass ceiling" for Muslims who are regulated to manual labor and other low paying jobs! They "prefer to stay in their own ghettos" my ass.
Updated, I just remembered. See, the reason Americans are concerned about European Muslims is the fact that some of them are more openly radical than in the Middle East. You see, in an open society (which, let's face, are none too popular in the Middle East) people are free to express their opinions, even if they're hate-mongering, Salafi-Jihadists nutjobs. But they can actually come out in London, in Brussels, in Copenhagen and say these things in the open (which they couldn't do "back home"). You see, they are much more "successful" radicals in Europe (and recruiting more) than in the Middle East. Americans do know there are different sects in Islam.....thanks. And we know a great majority are not terrorist. We're just worried about the select few that turn into terrorists. But thanks again for thinking we're six year-olds who know nothing about the world.
